A ceremony for signing an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was held at the Livestock Department under the supervision of Secretary Livestock Kazim Hussain Jatoi to increase the production of milk and meat in the animals of Sindh. This MoU was signed between the representatives of GCLI (Green Cooperative Livestock Initiative), including a team led by Chief Operating Officer Brigadier Ehtesham and Brigadier Tauheed, and the team of high-ranking officers of the Livestock Department.
Under the MoU, GCLI will provide modern breed offspring to the livestock farmers of Sindh at their doorstep using ‘Sexed Semen’ technology for male and female breeds across Sindh. Through this modern method, the production of milk and meat in animals will increase, while in the case of exports, it will also greatly assist the country in earning foreign exchange. This program is being launched under the leadership of Dr. Jamaluddin Junejo, Director of Animal Breeding at the Livestock Department.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Kazim Hussain Jatoi said that due to the special interest taken by Provincial Minister Mohammad Ali Malkani, a very good opportunity has been created for the livestock farmers of Sindh, through which they will move towards prosperity, and this program will also provide a great boost to the national economy.
On this occasion, Director General Livestock Sindh Dr. Hizbullah Bhutto, Deputy Secretary Staff Mohammad Imran, Director General Livestock Farms and Extension Dr. Mubarak Jatoi, Registrar Livestock Breeding Authority Dr. Iqtidar Memon, Director Animal Breeding Dr. Jamaluddin Junejo, Deputy Secretary Livestock Abdul Baqi Bulo, and Dr. Abdul Manan Khokhar were also present. The MoU was signed by Brigadier Ehtesham on behalf of GCLI, while Dr. Jamaluddin Junejo, Director Animal Breeding, signed on behalf of the Livestock Department.
