Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Tuesday extended heartfelt greetings to the Sikh community and all those celebrating the historic and joyous festival of Vaisakhi/Baisakhi.
In his message on the occasion, Bilawal Bhutto warmly welcomed Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan to celebrate the festival, saying their presence adds to the spirit of unity and cultural diversity in the country. He said Vaisakhi is a festival where hope flourishes like a ripe harvest, symbolising prosperity, gratitude and new beginnings.
“This day reminds us that unity, faith and hard work can transform every season into prosperity,” he added.
He also paid tribute to the invaluable services, courage and rich heritage of Pakistan’s Sikh community, saying their dedication and contributions form an important part of the nation’s cultural identity.
Bilawal Bhutto reiterated that the PPP would continue to stand firmly committed to promoting religious harmony, inclusion and equal respect for all communities in the country. He urged the nation to sow the seeds of peace in society and nurture the values of tolerance, dignity and unity to build a future based on shared prosperity for all.
Senior PPP leader, MNA Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah on Tuesday extended heartfelt greetings to the Hindu and Sikh communities on the occasion of Baisakhi. Khursheed Ahmed Shah said that baisakhi was a festival of peace, happiness and love. He added that Pakistan’s minorities were playing an exemplary role in the country’s peace, development and prosperity. He reaffirmed that the Pakistan People’s Party would continue to play its role in safeguarding the rights of minorities.
