Schools across the country are expected to close on Friday, March 20, before reopening on Tuesday, March 24, while government offices will remain closed during the holiday period to facilitate nationwide observances and festivities.

The Eid ul Fitr date in Pakistan is confirmed through the traditional Ruet e Hilal moon sighting process, where religious scholars and the Central Ruet e Hilal Committee examine reports from across the country.

Key authorities responsible for Eid announcements include the Cabinet Division, Central Ruet e Hilal Committee, Pakistan Meteorological Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs, and provincial education departments, ensuring accurate and verified public information.
