
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday extended greetings to Pakistan’s Hindu community on the occasion of Holi, emphasizing the importance of promoting interfaith dialogue, protecting worship places, and fostering mutual respect across society. He called for national-level efforts to strengthen tolerance and social cohesion while celebrating cultural diversity.
In his message, the prime minister highlighted that Holi reflects social harmony through vibrant colors and traditions, showcasing Pakistan’s rich cultural diversity and the shared values of unity and peaceful coexistence among different religious communities.

PM Shehbaz Sharif underlined the positive contributions of the Hindu community in Pakistan, noting their role in economic development, social progress, and promoting peaceful relations, which strengthens the country’s inclusive and harmonious social fabric.
He stressed that the Constitution guarantees religious freedom and human rights for all citizens, regardless of color, race, or belief. The government remains committed to safeguarding the rights of minorities and ensuring equal opportunities for all communities.

The prime minister also highlighted government initiatives such as the Policy for Interfaith Harmony (2025) and the Strategy for Religious Tolerance (2025), which aim to institutionalize measures promoting religious understanding and social peace nationwide.
He concluded by urging all citizens to renew their commitment to building a peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous Pakistan, where mutual respect, empathy, and tolerance guide community interactions and strengthen national unity.
