Earlier, US and Israeli forces struck Iranian cities including Isfahan, Qom, Karaj, Kermanshah and Tabriz. Israeli officials described the operation as pre-emptive and coordinated with Washington. Iranian media reported explosions in Tehran and near key oil facilities. Blasts were also heard near Kharg Island, a major export terminal. Authorities reported internet disruptions and communication blackouts in parts of Iran. Meanwhile, Israel activated nationwide sirens and closed its airspace.
US President Donald Trump said American forces targeted military sites to eliminate immediate threats. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the campaign necessary for national security. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the strikes as illegal and unjustified. Tehran warned that all US bases in the region remain within reach. Pakistan urged immediate de-escalation and advised citizens against travel to Iran. Britain and Russia also reacted, highlighting fears of wider conflict.
