Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has shared the latest update on “Operation Ghazab Lil Haq,” stating that Afghan Taliban fighters have suffered significant human and material losses during the ongoing cross-border engagements.

In a post on X, the minister said that 331 Afghan Taliban operatives have been killed so far, while more than 500 others sustained injuries. He added that 104 check posts were completely destroyed and 22 additional posts were taken over during the operation. According to the figures shared, 163 tanks and military vehicles belonging to the Afghan Taliban were also destroyed.

Security sources further claimed that the Pakistan Army demolished the “New Afghan 8” post using explosive materials. In the Zouba sector, the Afghan Taliban’s Delta post was reportedly destroyed. Sources also stated that the Kandaksi base in Chitral suffered severe damage, while the Khyber post was also targeted and destroyed during the strikes.
The information minister said Pakistan’s armed forces are acting with resolve to safeguard national security on every front. He emphasized that the military remains vigilant against what he described as unprovoked aggression and is delivering a strong response. According to him, Pakistani security forces are specifically targeting militant hideouts and military installations linked to the Afghan Taliban.

The claims come amid heightened tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, with both sides accusing each other of cross-border violations. Independent verification of the reported casualties and damage has not yet been made public. Authorities have reiterated that operations will continue as long as threats to Pakistan’s security persist.
