The violations cited by the RDA include failure to commence development of a sewerage treatment plant, non-allotment of 53 plots within the scheme, and neglect in developing the designated nullah. These acts, the spokesperson said, constitute serious breaches of the approved layout plan and relevant rules.
“The administration of Faisal Town was issued multiple notices previously, but the violations were not rectified within the stipulated timeframe,” the spokesperson added.
RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza emphasised that the authority will continue strict legal action without discrimination against all housing schemes found in breach of regulations. She said the operations are part of broader efforts to protect citizens’ rights and interests.
“Concerned officers have been directed to intensify inspections and actions against other housing schemes involved in similar violations,” the DG said.

The move comes as part of RDA’s ongoing drive to enforce compliance under the Punjab Development of Cities Act, 1976, and to curb illegal housing developments in the Rawalpindi region. Officials urged citizens to report any irregularities in housing schemes to ensure accountability and adherence to the law.
