The newly-confirmed judges include Justice Mohammad Tariq Afridi, Justice Mian Abdul Fayyaz, Justice Salahud Din, Justice Sadiq Ali, Justice Syed Mudasser Ameer, and Justice Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah. They had previously served as additional judges for almost a year before being appointed permanent judges by the President of Pakistan on the recommendation of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan. A notification of their appointments was issued on January 22.

The PHC Bar Association hosted a reception in honour of the new judges, with its president, Ameenur Rehman Yousafzai, and other office-bearers welcoming them.

All six judges were senior lawyers prior to their elevation and are recognised for expertise across multiple legal fields. Justice Tariq Afridi and Justice Mian Abdul Fayyaz have previously served as presidents of the PHC Bar Association. Justice Mudasser Ameer is known for his work in constitutional and corporate law, including high-profile National Accountability Bureau (NAB) cases. Justice Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah, son of the late PHC judge Justice Qazi Ehsanullah Qureshi, has handled constitutional, corporate, civil, and criminal cases.

Justice Sadiq Ali and Justice Salahud Din specialise in civil law alongside other areas. Justice Sadiq was formerly a member and vice-chairman of the KP Bar Council.

Currently, the PHC has 20 judges, including four additional judges, against a sanctioned strength of 30. The bench includes one female judge, Justice Farah Jamshed, who joined the judicial service in 1994 and was promoted to district and sessions judge in 2011.

The induction of these judges strengthens the PHC bench and ensures continuity in handling civil, criminal, constitutional, and corporate cases across the province.
