The 26-year-old pop star and former Disney Channel actress has been linked to the upcoming horror sequel through several social media posts and viral shares on X (formerly Twitter). Some posts cited Deadline as a source, but no verified reports from the publication exist. Industry insiders emphasize that these appear to be fan-generated “confirmations” rather than factual announcements.

Final Destination 7, currently in development at New Line Cinema, is tentatively scheduled for a potential release in summer 2027 or 2028. The project is being scripted by Lori Evans Taylor, who co-wrote the successful 2025 installment Final Destination: Bloodlines. Warner Bros. has yet to announce any official cast members.

Carpenter, meanwhile, has a busy 2026 ahead. She is set to star as Alice in an Alice in Wonderland musical for Universal Pictures, where she will also serve as a producer. Additionally, she will appear in a Disney+ Muppet Show special alongside Maya Rudolph and Seth Rogen.

While fans of the Final Destination franchise are eager to see who will appear in the seventh installment, official updates are expected in the coming months as New Line Cinema solidifies casting and production schedules. For now, Carpenter’s involvement remains speculative, and sources urge caution against treating social media rumors as confirmation.

The seventh film is expected to continue the franchise’s signature formula of suspenseful, elaborate death sequences, with Taylor aiming to balance horror thrills with new storytelling elements that expand on the Bloodlines narrative.
