On the arrival of Federal Minister for Climate Change, Dr. Musadik Malik, at the Sindh Secretariat, Sindh’s Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Jam Khan Shoro, welcomed him. An important meeting was held under the joint chairmanship of Federal Minister Dr. Musadik Malik and Provincial Minister Jam Khan Shoro regarding carbon emission reduction and the Transforming Carbon Finance (TCAF) Pak Flow project.
The meeting was attended by Chairman Planning Najam Ahmed Shah, representatives of the World Bank, officials from the Environment Department, and other relevant officers. During the session, detailed discussions were held on various ongoing environmental projects in Sindh.
Federal Minister Dr. Musadik Malik stated that the Sindh government is taking effective and commendable measures in environmental projects, particularly in the promotion of mangroves and the carbon credit sector. He further added that these projects will not only contribute to environmental protection but will also benefit the national economy. On this occasion, Provincial Minister Jam Khan Shoro said that the Sindh government is working with seriousness and consistency for environmental protection and reduction of carbon emissions. He also expressed gratitude on behalf of the provincial government for the cooperation of the federal government and the World Bank.
