
Gold prices in Pakistan jumped sharply on Monday, tracking gains in global markets. The price per tola rose by Rs7,500. It reached a new level of Rs489,362 in local trading.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold increased during the day. It was sold at Rs419,549 after a rise of Rs428. Rates were issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.

Earlier, gold prices had fallen over the weekend. On Saturday, the per tola rate dropped by Rs6,431. It had then closed at Rs481,862 in the local market.
Meanwhile, international gold prices also surged strongly. The global rate rose by $75 to $4,670 per ounce. This included a premium of $20 in international trading.

At the same time, silver prices hit a record high in Pakistan. Silver per tola rose by Rs300 to Rs9,782. Analysts linked the surge to strong global demand and market uncertainty.
