Punjab Police Rahim Yar Khan achieved a major success in the Katcha area as 10 armed dacoits belonging to the notorious Sukhani and Kosh gangs surrendered their weapons following effective police pressure and targeted operations. According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, due to the positive results of the ongoing operation in the Katcha area and a stern warning by DPO Rahim Yar Khan Irfan Ali Samoo, members of the Sukhani gang surrendered, while a group of the Kosh gang also laid down their arms and surrendered to the law. The dacoits, along with their weapons, presented themselves at Garhi Khair Muhammad Jhakk police post of Bhong police station.
The spokesperson said that the surrendered dacoits were wanted by police in serious crimes including kidnapping for ransom, robbery, looting and encounters with police. He added that the armed Sukhani gang included Tariq, Hakim, Baloch, Mewa, Sukhani and Saleem Dashti, while the Kosh gang comprised Jeevan, Shah Paro, Khatoora and Qurban Jho Kosh. The dacoits assured the authorities that they had renounced crime and pledged to abandon criminal activities permanently.
