
Daniel Stern, widely known for his role in the Home Alone films, is facing legal trouble after authorities charged him with solicitation of prostitution following an incident reported on December 10 in California.
The 68-year-old actor became part of an undercover operation after staying at a motel in Camarillo, which ultimately led to legal action initiated by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office.
Law enforcement officials stated that Stern was issued a citation at the scene for allegedly attempting to solicit a prostitute. However, authorities did not arrest or formally book him at the time.

Instead, officials cited and released Stern, while choosing not to disclose further details surrounding the alleged encounter. Moreover, no additional charges have been announced as the investigation remains limited in scope.
Under California law, solicitation of prostitution is treated as a minor felony and may carry penalties of up to six months in jail or a fine reaching $1,000 if a conviction follows.

Stern’s arraignment, originally scheduled for mid-January, has now been postponed to February 6, extending the legal process as the case continues to unfold.
