David Beckham reunites with son Brooklyn after family rift

Published on: January 2, 2026 3:39 PM

Former England football captain David Beckham has reportedly reconciled with his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, following months of speculation about tensions within the famous family.

Beckham marked New Year’s Eve by sharing a reflective message on social media, expressing gratitude for the past year, which included being knighted by King Charles for his services to sport and charity. In the post, the 50-year-old included a carousel of photos featuring family members and close friends, though Brooklyn was noticeably absent from the initial set of images.

However, hours later on December 31, Beckham took to Instagram Stories and shared throwback photographs with each of his four children — Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper — signalling a possible effort to heal strained relations. He later followed up with individual pictures alongside his children, ensuring none were left out.

Alongside the images, Beckham penned a heartfelt message declaring his love for his family. “I love you all so much,” he wrote, a caption that many fans interpreted as a public olive branch aimed at his eldest son.

Despite the gesture, reports suggest Brooklyn spent the final night of 2025 away from his family, celebrating with his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, in Miami. The couple reportedly attended festivities at the upscale E11EVEN nightclub in Florida, where they were joined by several celebrities including rapper 50 Cent, musician Wyclef Jean, actress Madelyn Cline, and basketball star Paige Bueckers.

Brooklyn’s absence from the family celebrations in the UK has continued to fuel speculation about the state of his relationship with his parents, David and fashion designer Victoria Beckham. According to earlier reports, tensions began around the time of Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding, where alleged disagreements between the two families surfaced.

While neither Brooklyn nor Nicola has publicly commented on the reconciliation rumours, David Beckham’s recent social media activity suggests a desire to move forward and reaffirm family unity as the new year begins.
