The Punjab government has officially announced winter vacations for all educational institutions across the province. The decision aims to provide students and staff a seasonal break.
According to reports, the Education Department has issued a formal notification regarding the winter holidays. The notification outlines the exact dates and reopening schedule for schools.
As per the notification, all educational institutions in Punjab will remain closed from December 22 to January 11. This includes both government and private schools.

All government and private schools will remain closed until January 10. Additionally, January 11, which falls on a Sunday, will also be observed as a holiday.
The notification further clarified that all schools will reopen on January 12. Teachers and staff are expected to resume duties on the same day.
Officials urged parents and students to plan their activities accordingly during the holiday period. Schools are advised to ensure academic schedules are adjusted after reopening.
The winter break provides students time for rest and family activities. It also allows schools to perform maintenance and prepare for the new term efficiently.
