GUJRAT — The Hafiz Hayat Campus of the University of Gujrat blossomed into a festive marketplace on Thursday as the Journalism Streak Society of the Centre for Media & Communication Studies (CMCS) welcomed winter with cheer, colour and creativity.
The Omar Al Khayyam Block was transformed into a lively corridor of flavours and fellowship, where 20 stalls by CMCS students stood as vibrant showcases of youthful energy and enterprise.
It was, in fact, an exercise in entrepreneurship – much more than just a seasonal celebration. Each stall became a miniature workshop of innovation, where students tested their skills in presentation, marketing, and customer engagement. From steaming traditional snacks to timeless family recipes, the offerings were not only a feast for the senses but also a reminder of how culinary heritage can be reimagined as opportunity.
The old saying that the way to a person’s heart is through the stomach found new life here, as students turned home-taught dishes into crowd-pulling attractions.
Every bite of a crispy fritter and every sip of steaming tea carried a story — of tradition meeting ambition, of students discovering that entrepreneurship is as much about emotion and connection as it is about profit. The stalls reflected more than culinary flair; they embodied the art of winning hearts through enterprise.
The Journalism Streak Society’s winter welcome thus became a celebration of both culture and commerce, proving that even in December’s chill, warmth can be created through creativity, collaboration and the courage to try.
