
A major fire broke out at a garment factory in Karachi’s Export Processing Zone on Thursday. Rescue 1122 confirmed the incident. Firefighters and emergency teams rushed to the scene immediately to control the flames.
According to Rescue 1122, their Central Command received the alert and dispatched a fire and rescue team. An ambulance and a fire brigade truck were sent simultaneously. Teams are actively working to contain the fire and prevent further damage.

Smoke was seen billowing from the factory, raising concerns for nearby workers and buildings. Officials urged residents to stay away while emergency efforts continued. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Authorities said no casualties were immediately reported, but the situation remains serious. Firefighters are using water and fire retardants to stop the flames from spreading further. Local traffic was diverted around the area to facilitate emergency operations.
