The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday heard two applications regarding PTI founder Imran Khan and the unfreezing of the Shaukat Khanum Hospital account. The court awaited PTI lawyers, but none appeared, delaying proceedings. Special Prosecutor Zaheer Shah criticized the absence, saying social media propaganda replaces actual legal representation.
The applications, filed by Alima Khan and Salman Akram Raja, requested urgent hearings on the matters. Notices were issued to all parties, but PTI failed to send any lawyer to court. The ATC judge, Amjad Ali Shah, and the prosecution team waited throughout the session for their presence.

Zaheer Shah highlighted that while the requests were submitted promptly, PTI’s lawyers were conspicuously absent. He questioned why applications are filed if legal representatives will not appear. The prosecutor emphasized that justice cannot proceed when parties ignore court orders.
The court noted the continued absence of PTI lawyers and observed that such delays affect the judicial process. Both applications will now be heard on December 1, giving the party another opportunity to appear. The judge stressed that legal formalities must be followed regardless of political narratives.
