Islamabad: The Foreign Office spokesperson, Tahir Andarabi, said that fake news and rumors circulating on social media about former Prime Minister Imran Khan are extremely dangerous. He added that the Indian cyber domain is actively spreading fake news and rumors about Pakistan across various sectors.
During a weekly briefing in Islamabad, Andarabi noted that Afghan social media accounts are now also involved alongside India. He expressed concern that several mainstream Indian media organizations and journalists are participating in spreading such misinformation.

When asked about Imran Khan’s health, he stated that the Interior Minister’s statement yesterday addresses all rumors. The relevant ministry can provide accurate information regarding the health of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman.
On the topic of a Pakistan-Afghan Taliban ceasefire, Andarabi clarified that the ceasefire does not mean a traditional one. It implies that terrorist groups operating under Afghan supervision should not carry out attacks on Pakistan. However, large terrorist attacks have still occurred in Pakistan, mainly by Afghan citizens and their groups, so the ceasefire is not fully being observed. He added that Pakistan remains vigilant and maintains strong military readiness. The visit of the Turkish delegation to Pakistan is still in the pipeline.
