Flight operations at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport were disrupted on Friday as several flights were cancelled and others delayed due to technical and operational glitches. According to the airport’s flight schedule, a total of five flights were cancelled while two others faced delays.
Among the cancelled flights were Emirates flight EK-609 to Dubai, FlyNas flight XY-638 to Jeddah, Oman Air flight WY-324 to Muscat, AirSial flight PF-143 to Lahore, and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-306, also bound for Lahore. The cancellations caused inconvenience to passengers, many of whom had already checked in or arrived early at the terminal.

In addition, two PIA flights — PK-308 from Karachi to Islamabad and PK-340 from Karachi to Faisalabad — were delayed due to the same operational issues. Airport officials said efforts were underway to restore the schedule and assist affected passengers with rebooking and alternative arrangements.
Sources within the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) attributed the disruptions to a combination of technical faults and crew management challenges. Passengers were advised to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport to avoid further inconvenience.
