Speaking to The New York Times, the Con Altura star said singing in multiple languages allows her to “expand” her artistry and connect with the world. “I love travelling, I love learning from other humans,” she said. “Why would I not try to sing in another language and expand the way I can be a musician or an artist?” Rosalía also opened up about her friendship with Björk, describing their first meeting as an “instant crush of admiration.” The Grammy-winning singer, who rose to international fame with Motomami (2022), said LUX represents her creative growth and evolution.
