
RIO DE JANEIRO – Prince William announced the winners of the fifth annual Earthshot Prize at a ceremony in Rio de Janeiro, celebrating global innovators tackling environmental challenges. Opening his speech in Portuguese, the Prince of Wales thanked the people of Brazil for their warm hospitality.
Reflecting on the launch of the Earthshot Prize in 2020, William highlighted its mission to make the current decade one of positive change for the planet. He praised the winners’ hard work, innovative solutions, and dedication, describing them as “the world’s true action heroes.”
