QUETTA – The body of DSP Muhammad Yousef Reki, a senior Noshki police officer who had been missing for nearly a week, was discovered in the Kirdgab area of Mastung district on Thursday. The officer had disappeared while travelling alone from Noshki to Quetta last weekend.
According to police reports, unidentified armed men intercepted DSP Reki’s vehicle in the Karginah area and kidnapped him. Despite a search operation launched by security forces, the officer could not be located until locals reported an unattended body in Kirdgab. Police recovered the body, which bore multiple bullet wounds, and shifted it to Civil Hospital Quetta for legal procedures.

Investigations suggest that Reki was abducted five days earlier and was travelling without security on a mountainous route rather than the main highway. His vehicle remains missing, and no group has claimed responsibility for the abduction and murder.
