The minister welcomed stronger Chinese investment in Pakistan’s key sectors — including ICT, agriculture, industry, and minerals — and briefed the Chinese official on Pakistan’s recent staff-level agreement with the IMF, calling it an “external validation” of the government’s reform efforts.

Both sides also discussed the progress on Pakistan’s Panda Bond issuance in China’s financial market. Aurangzeb invited the Chinese deputy minister to visit Pakistan “at a mutually convenient time.”
