
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Secretary General of the World Muslim League Dr. Mohammad Bin Abdulkarim Alissa on Thursday to discuss ways to promote the true image of Islam and strengthen unity among Muslim nations. The prime minister praised the League’s significant role in representing the Muslim Ummah globally and advocating for interfaith harmony and mutual respect among civilizations.
Welcoming Dr. Alissa to Pakistan, the prime minister commended his leadership and vision in guiding the Muslim World League. He said the organization’s efforts to counter misconceptions about Islam and promote peace and understanding were deeply appreciated by Muslims worldwide. He added that Pakistan would continue to fully support the League’s initiatives aimed at global harmony and unity.

During the meeting, the prime minister lauded the successful international conference on the education of women and girls in the Muslim world, organized earlier this year with the League’s collaboration. He termed it a remarkable step toward empowering women in Muslim societies and assured Pakistan’s complete cooperation for holding similar events in the future to advance educational opportunities.
Shehbaz Sharif also highlighted the strong and long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, expressing best wishes for King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He appreciated Saudi Arabia’s leading role in promoting peace in Gaza and its continuous efforts to raise a united Muslim voice for the oppressed Palestinian people.

In response, Dr. Mohammad Bin Abdulkarim Alissa thanked the prime minister for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him in Pakistan. He reaffirmed the League’s commitment to fostering unity, compassion, and cooperation among Muslim countries. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki.
