Former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan refused to appear in court for the GHQ attack case on Tuesday. The hearing took place inside Adiala Jail, led by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Amjad Ali Shah. Imran Khan’s legal team, headed by lawyer Faisal Malik, was present. Special Prosecutor Zaheer Shah also attended the session. However, the main accused, Imran Khan, did not appear despite court orders.
The court sent three messages asking Imran Khan to attend the hearing. Jail officials informed the court that Khan declined due to health issues. His absence delayed the process for over an hour and 40 minutes. Prosecutors and defense lawyers waited inside the jail courtroom during this time. But Khan remained in his cell and did not come forward.

Before the hearing began, the court informed the defense team that the jail trial had been formally resumed. This update followed a previous decision to reinstate in-prison proceedings for security and legal reasons. Despite repeated calls, Imran Khan did not agree to appear. The court then paused further action in the case.
After hearing arguments from both sides, Judge Amjad Ali Shah adjourned the case. The next hearing will take place on October 20. No further proceedings occurred during the hearing. The judge made it clear that Khan’s attendance is still required. The legal process now depends on Khan’s cooperation.
