Sir: I would like to share the sense of ‘double loss’ that we, the people of Pakistan in general and sympathisers of the Pakistan People’s party, have had to bear within one week. I have been mourning the loss of Benazir Bhutto, a courageous daughter of Pakistan, steadfast in whatever she believed. I also find myself at a loss of words following the appointment of her son, Bilawal, as chairman of the PPP. While I share the sense of grief engulfing the top brass of the party, they have forgotten all norms of meritocracy in deciding the future of the PPP. KHALID BHATTIBahrain
