MADRID: Two days after FC Barcelona’s Twitter account hack that announced hoax signing of PSG’s Angel Di Maria, Real Madrid official Twitter account was hacked with tweet announcing signing of Barcelona’s Lionel Messi early on Saturday. The twitter message ‘Welcome Messi! £Messi’ announcing Messi’s false signing, was accompanied by a video of the Barcelona star scoring against his arch-rivals during one of the infamous Clasicos. OurMine, the group that had hacked Barca accounts earlier this week and has hacked numerous known accounts e.g. PlayStation and Google, was behind Madrid’s misfortune too as they criticised internet security in another tweet via the Madrid account that said: “Internet security is s— and we proved that.” The tweets went viral and received over 25,000 retweets before they were taken down after circulating around the website for 90 minutes.
