ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan – while reacting to the Punjab chief minister’s statements – on Wednesday said that he was amused by Shahbaz Sharif’s ‘hysterical’ response. The PTI chairman tweeted that ‘the biggest lie of Sharif brothers was their claim that they don’t lie’. “The mother of all lies,” he said, “Was that Sharif brothers made no agreement with Saudi Arabia for exile,” – a reference to events that took place after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was driven out of power in a military coup and led to departure of the ruling family to Saudi Arabia. Khan said that PTI leaders Jahangir Khan Tarin and Aleem Khan should also sue Shahbaz for levelling baseless allegations against them. Earlier in the day, the Punjab chief minister told media persons that he would sue Khan for levelling allegations of corruption against him – in response to Khan’s statements claiming Javed Sadiq made millions of rupees while acting as Shahbaz Sharif’s ‘frontman’. Meanwhile, Javed Sadiq – while talking to a local TV channel – also rejected the allegations made against him by saying ‘he wished Imran Khan or his party had contacted him before accusing him of any wrongdoings’.
