SIALKOT: Two civilians including a minor were martyred whereas seven others were seriously injuried due to the unprovoked shelling by the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF). According to the Punjab Rangers’ spokesman, the Indian BSF – violating the ceasefire – resorted to unprovoked firing and targeted the civilian population of villages in Chaprar, Herpal and Pukhlian sectors of the Sialkot Working Boundary late Sunday night and intermittent exchange of firing continued throughout the night. A number of houses were also damaged. The spokesperson said that the Punjab Rangers befittingly responded – silencing the Indian guns. The injured were shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH). The unprovoked Indian shelling also killed several cattle.
