KARACHI: Wednesday night experienced an amalgamation of art, fashion, creativity and flavour, all combined in one to bring forth fashionable outfits displaying their inspiration by the Surrealist Movement. Ali Xeeshan, Faraz Manan, Nilofer Shahid and Shamaeel Ansari showcased capsule collections which were met by thunderous applause by all those watching. Each designer interpreted the theme of surrealism into daring collections inspired by art and chocolate, bringing the relationship between art and fashion alive. Shamaeel Ansari This genius Karachi-based designer, who was the first to showcase her collection, displayed an ensemble which was elegant, sophisticated, graceful and exuded an international appeal. Shamaeel got the concept right with short coats, floral floor-length skirts, colourful headgears and minimal jewellery. Red, black, gold and white were the key colours used. Nilofer Shahid The couture queen played with a lot of colours and hues and stood out for her immaculate use of artistic creations coupled with a wearability factor to all her clothes.
