LAHORE: Opening batsman Fakhar Zaman soared into the Top 20 in ODI rankings on Monday thanks to his recent performances against Zimbabwe.
Fakhar jumped 8 rankings to bag 16th position in the latest ODI rankings issued by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The 28-year-old scored a record 550-runs in a five-match series against Zimbabwe earlier this month, including a double-hundred, becoming the first Pakistani ever to do so.
The opening batsman was ranked 24th in ODIs in the rankings issued on July 17 this month, but jumped up to the 16th spot after his recent performances were taken into consideration.
Opener Imam-ul-Haq also improved his ranking to 43rd spot after scoring a total of 395 runs in the series against Zimbabwe.
