Is Alia Bhatt the reason behind Ranbir-Katrina breakup?

Published on: July 9, 2018 11:03 AM

Ranbir Kapoor and Ali Bhatt’s love relationship is the new B-town gossip. The young couple is currently dating each other and they were previously in a relationship with Katrina Kaif and Sidhart Malhotra respectively.

Ranbir broke up with Katrina in 2016 which made their fans sad. There were a number of reasons which came up after their break up, and Alia was one of those, Pink Villa.

During an interview with Vogue, Alia said, “I read that I was the cause of the Ranbir-Katrina breakup. It was so ridiculous that I didn’t think it needed clarification.”

This interview took place around the time when Alia and Sidhart graced the magazine’s cover. Alia and Sidhart were deeply in love with each other and once Alia said, “Sid and I… it’s not like we don’t hang out. We go to parties together, visit friends together and move around openly. But we are not trying to project an image here or trying to talk about our personal lives in the open. That’s not what we are here for.”

She added, “When you go out and talk about your relationship openly, there are repercussions.” To this, Sidharth added, “Eventually what you put in front of the media becomes material.”

She also shared her experience of shooting with Sidhart during Student of the Year, she said, “He treated me like a kid and I didn’t like that.” While Sidharth told her, “You were 17! Anything 18 and under is illegal.”

“So? I wasn’t asking you to marry me. I was asking you to be a regular friend,” Alia used to reply.
