The cruel rape and murder of an eight-year-old Muslim girl, Asifa in the Kathua district of Jammu Kashmir has traumatized and shaken everyone.
As celebrities from all across are demanding justice for Asifa, British-Pakistani actor Riz Ahmed has also come forward supporting the cause, slamming the extremists for supporting the acts of those who committed this horrific crime.
While people in India have been assembling for peaceful protests against the horrendous act, some Hindu extremist groups have been justifying the rape of the poor girl.
Taking the recent incident into consideration, Riz Ahmed tweeted, “Politicians and judges are marching in SUPPORT of the rapists of an 8 year old girl in India – because the victim was Muslim. This is what racist politics does to a society.”
