Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said Ukrainian military experts shot down Iranian drones in several Middle East countries. He claimed Ukrainian personnel were deployed to support regional air defence efforts. The statement highlights Ukraine’s expanding security cooperation abroad.
Zelensky said Ukrainian anti-drone specialists were sent to at least four countries. He added deployments followed US and Israeli strikes on Iran and subsequent retaliatory drone attacks. He said the mission focused on operational support rather than training alone.

According to Zelensky, Ukrainian teams helped intercept Iranian-made drones known as Shaheds. He said the operations were carried out in multiple locations across the region. However, he did not name the specific countries involved.
He further said Ukraine demonstrated interceptor tactics to partner states. He added that some arrangements included financial support and resource exchanges. He also suggested Ukraine could receive oil supplies in return for assistance.
