BTS reunites with Jimmy Fallon on Tonight Show

Published on: March 26, 2026 12:00 PM

After a four-year hiatus, BTS made a highly anticipated return to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, delighting fans with a mix of chaos, charm, and heartfelt moments. The reunion coincided with the group’s new album, ARIRANG, which draws inspiration from the iconic Korean folk song of the same name.

The appearance began playfully, with the members entering the studio in house slippers, instantly creating a casual, cosy atmosphere. Fallon joked about his “almost-name twin Jimin,” adding to the fun, while the group introduced him to Korea’s no-shoes-inside custom, tying it cleverly to their new track “Aliens,” which references the rule in its lyrics.

The interview balanced humour with heartfelt reflections. The BTS members shared what they missed most about each other during their military service hiatus, resulting in a mix of teasing, roasting, and genuine appreciation. Fans were treated to glimpses of the members’ personalities, from spontaneous dancing to playful banter with Fallon.

As part of the segment, the band discussed reconnecting with their cultural roots while continuing to make music that resonates globally. Their promotional performances included filming at the Guggenheim Museum, featuring tracks like “SWIM” and “2.0,” which showcased both their musical evolution and signature energy.

The reunion served as both a celebration of BTS’s enduring bond and a launchpad for their latest album. Fans worldwide tuned in to experience the warmth, humour, and musical prowess of the group, proving that some reunions are worth the wait. The full BTS interview aired on March 25 and 26 on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
