
Election campaigning for the Gilgit-Baltistan general elections entered its final day on Friday, with political parties intensifying efforts to attract voters ahead of polling scheduled for June 7.

As the campaign period nears its conclusion, major political parties are holding rallies and public meetings across the region to present their agendas and mobilise supporters before election activities officially end at midnight.
In constituency GBA-1, the Pakistan Peoples Party is set to hold a major public gathering at the Aga Khan Shahi Polo Ground. The rally is expected to feature addresses by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, who will appeal to voters ahead of the election.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has planned an election rally in the Rondo subdivision of Skardu under constituency GBA-10. Senior party leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and Amir Muqam are expected to address party supporters during the event.

The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party is also making a final push for votes through a rally led by former governor Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon, who is scheduled to speak at an election gathering.

Political observers say the final hours of campaigning are crucial as candidates seek to consolidate support and persuade undecided voters. Campaigns across Gilgit-Baltistan have focused on issues including infrastructure development, employment opportunities, tourism, education and local governance.
With polling day approaching, election authorities are expected to complete final preparations to ensure a smooth voting process across the region.
