Security forces kill 10 militants in Zhob

Bannu Terror Attack Injures Soldier, Security Forces Launch Search

Pakistan security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Zhob on February 24, killing 10 foreign-backed militants, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. The operation targeted insurgents linked to the Indian proxy group, Fatah al-Khawarij, whose presence had been reported in the district.

During the operation, militants’ hideouts were hit effectively, and a heavy exchange of fire resulted in the elimination of 10 extremists. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain insurgents, who were involved in multiple terrorist acts in the region, ISPR said.

The army spokesperson stated that counterterrorism operations continue to neutralize any remaining Indian-sponsored militants in the area. Security forces are systematically conducting area sanitization to ensure no insurgent threats remain.

ISPR emphasized that the operation aligns with the broader mission of “Azm-e-Istihkam” (Resolve for Stability) to sustain anti-terrorism efforts across Pakistan. Law enforcement agencies remain active in maintaining security and preventing terrorist activities.

Authorities reiterated that Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign will continue at full pace, with all necessary measures to eliminate foreign-sponsored extremist elements in Balochistan and protect civilians.
