Security forces strike Indian proxy network in Balochistan
Security forces have killed 14 terrorists linked to the Indian-backed outfit “Fitna al-Hindustan” during a major intelligence-based operation in the Zehri area of Khuzdar district, Balochistan.
Officials said the operation was launched after credible intelligence reports confirmed the presence of militants in the mountainous region. Before the assault, the area was completely sealed off, leading to an intense gun battle that lasted for several hours. “Fourteen terrorists were neutralized, and 20 others injured,” security officials confirmed. “A large cache of arms, ammunition, and communication equipment was also seized.”
Hideouts destroyed; local residents praise security forces
During the operation, several hideouts established by the militants in Zehri’s rugged terrain were destroyed. Authorities said the group had been harassing and extorting local residents for months, disturbing peace in the area.
Locals reportedly welcomed the operation, praising the forces for restoring security and stability to the region.

Part of broader anti-terror crackdown
The Zehri operation follows another successful strike in Sherani district, where security forces eliminated seven India-sponsored militants earlier this week.
The government recently designated Balochistan-based militant networks as “Fitna al-Hindustan”, underscoring what officials describe as India’s covert involvement in terror financing and subversion across Pakistan.
Security forces reiterated their commitment to eradicating all remaining militant elements in Balochistan and elsewhere in the country.
CTD registers FIR over Quetta suicide attack
Meanwhile, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has registered an FIR against the perpetrators of the suicide car bombing outside the Frontier Corps (North) headquarters in Quetta earlier this week, which killed 10 people, including four security personnel, and injured 33 others.
According to CTD officials, two terrorists involved in the attack have been identified via NADRA fingerprint records. One was Sharifullah from Mazai Adha, Qila Abdullah, while the other, from Chagai district, remains unnamed pending confirmation. “Sharifullah was also wanted for a previous terrorist attack in Karachi,” a CTD official revealed. The remains of other suspects have been sent to the Punjab Forensic Laboratory for further analysis.
Area sealed, buildings damaged
Security forces have sealed the entire area surrounding the FC headquarters, where the powerful blast caused extensive damage to nearby structures. Among those affected were the offices of Daily Mashriq and HUM TV, both of which have been temporarily closed.
Due to road closures in the area, heavy traffic congestion was reported on major arteries leading to and from the FC complex.
