Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a province-wide infrastructure and design standardisation plan to ensure uniform development and stronger urban discipline. The decision followed a high-level meeting where officials presented detailed proposals on roads, public spaces, and building layouts. Under the new initiative, the administration will introduce a “One Punjab, One Standard” policy to guide development projects. In addition, the plan covers the standardisation of schools, hospitals, bus stops, and other public buildings to improve functionality and appearance. Officials also discussed forming an autonomous authority to supervise design reforms and ensure compliance with the new guidelines. Meanwhile, officials confirmed that implementation plans will begin after final approval of the design manual and regulatory framework.
