COLOMBO: Pakistan secured a dominant 102-run victory over Namibia in the ICC T20 World Cup, qualifying for the Super 8 stage. Captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and opted to bat first, setting a challenging target for the visitors.

Pakistan posted 199 for 3 in their 20 overs, thanks to Sahibzada Farhan’s spectacular maiden T20 World Cup century. Chasing 200, Namibia struggled against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling, collapsing for 97 runs in the 18th over. Only Stenckimp and Alexander reached double figures with 23 and 20 runs respectively. Shadab Khan starred with 3 wickets for 19 runs, and Usman Tariq picked up 4 wickets, conceding just 16 runs.

Pakistan made two changes to their lineup, replacing Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed with Mirza Salman and Khawaja Nafees. The team’s strategy paid off as both batting and bowling units performed decisively to secure a comfortable win.
