Under the ner League (PSL) has announced major structural reforms ahead of its 11th edition, including a shift from the traditional player draft system to a full player auction. The move aims to enhance competitive balance, increasew system, each franchise may retain a maximum of four players, limited to one player per category, while the rules regarding mentors, brand ambassadors, and the right-to-match option have been abolished. Newly inducted teams can select and retain four players from the available pool prior to the auction, while every franchise is allowed one direct signing of a foreign player who did not feature in the previous edition.

The league has also increased the player salary purse to USD 1.6 million per franchise, highlighting its commitment to rewarding talent and attracting top domestic and international cricketers. PSL officials described these changes as part of the league’s “strategic trajectory and evolution,” aimed at promoting cricketing excellence and fan engagement across Pakistan.
PSL 11 is scheduled to begin on March 26, 2026, with Faisalabad added as an additional venue, marking the city’s return to hosting league matches and expanding the PSL’s national footprint.
