
Iranian leaders strongly reacted to U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement promising intervention if protesters face violence. Ali Shamkhani, advisor to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, warned that “any hand reaching toward Iran’s security will be cut off.” He emphasized that Iran knows well America’s past interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Gaza.
Shamkhani shared the warning on social media platform X, underlining Iran’s determination to resist foreign interference. Meanwhile, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, criticized Trump and Israeli officials, saying hidden agendas have now become clear. He stressed the difference between protesters and those causing unrest.

Larijani further warned that U.S. interference in Iran’s domestic affairs could destabilize the entire region and harm American interests. He advised U.S. citizens to remain mindful of the risks to their military personnel due to this adventurism.
Trump had tweeted that the U.S. is fully prepared to protect Iranian protesters if they are harmed. He said Washington is ready to act to safeguard citizens peacefully demonstrating in Iran.
