Four Indian domestic cricketers have been suspended over alleged corruption in domestic cricket. The Assam Cricket Association took action following reports of misconduct during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. An FIR has also been filed against the players with the Guwahati Crime Branch.
The suspended players are Amit Sinha, Ishan Ahmed, Aman Tripathi, and Abhishek Thakre. The Assam Cricket Association stated that the players attempted to influence and manipulate the team during the tournament, which ran from November 26 to December 8.

The players will not be allowed to participate in any cricketing activities at any level until investigations are complete. The association emphasized that the suspension will remain in effect throughout the inquiry process.
Indian media reports suggest that the allegations arose from matches in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Authorities are investigating the matter to determine the extent of the players’ involvement in corruption.
The development marks another instance of anti-corruption measures in Indian domestic cricket. Officials said they are committed to maintaining the integrity of the sport and will take strict action against any malpractice.
