Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, killing four people and injuring several others on Sunday, officials confirmed. The assault struck multiple neighborhoods, causing widespread damage and leaving emergency teams struggling to control the situation.
Moreover, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said four people lost their lives, including one victim whose body was pulled from beneath the rubble. Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov added that 12 people were injured, among them two children aged 11 and 12 who required urgent medical care.
Additionally, authorities reported fifteen strikes across six areas of the city, marking one of the heaviest drone attacks in recent weeks. Kharkiv, located just 30 kilometers from the Russian border, has remained a frequent target throughout the more than three-and-a-half-year-long conflict.
