
Two police personnel were martyred when a bomb exploded near an armored vehicle in Dera Ismail Khan, officials said. The blast occurred in Hathala, Kulachi, and four officers were injured. Security forces quickly reached the scene and launched a search operation to secure the area.
The DSP confirmed the search is ongoing to prevent further threats and to apprehend anyone involved. The wounded officers were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical care, and their condition is reported as stable.

Police officials said the armored vehicle was on routine patrol when the remote-controlled device detonated. The driver and a constable lost their lives in the attack, highlighting continued risks faced by law enforcement in the region.
Meanwhile, federal authorities condemned the attack and expressed condolences to the families of the slain officers. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the bravery of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police and prayed for the recovery of the injured.

The attack comes shortly after successful counter-terrorism operations in Kurram district, where security forces killed 23 militants in two separate intelligence-based actions. Authorities emphasized that the fight against terrorism continues with vigilance across the region.
