LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan visited the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) on Thursday to inquire about the health of senior party leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi but was not allowed to meet him.
According to insiders, Barrister Gohar arrived at the hospital in the afternoon and waited nearly two hours for permission to meet the ailing PTI stalwart. However, despite the long wait, the meeting did not take place. PTI leaders Intizar Panjotha and Ali Ijaz accompanied him during the visit.

The visit came days after senior PTI figures Salman Akram Raja and Shaukat Basra met Qureshi at the hospital, where they discussed the political situation and efforts to secure the release of PTI founder Imran Khan. During that meeting, Qureshi reiterated his commitment to pursuing the party’s struggle through democratic and constitutional means.
Earlier, on October 31, former PTI leaders Fawad Chaudhry, Imran Ismail, and Mehmood Moulvi also met Qureshi at PKLI to discuss national political developments, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The series of visits by both current and former PTI members has sparked speculation about shifting political alignments and efforts to reorganize key figures within the party’s leadership structure.
