Pakistan Football Federation president Syed Mohsen Gilani has congratulated the national men’s team on ending the long wait for a final berth in a stand-alone football tournament.

“We have waited for this day for over six decades and I would like to congratulate our team for delivering a result that our fans have long been waiting for,” said Mr Gilani. “This is a sign of growth, hard work and dedication and we will continue to strive to ensure that results like these become the norm rather than an exception.”
