Mir Ali suicide attack on security forces foiled

Published on: October 18, 2025 4:35 AM

Security forces killed four Khawarij terrorists while successfully foiling a suicide attack in Mir Ali, North Waziristan.

Security sources said a Khawarij rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the wall of a security forces camp. At that time, three more Khawarij, equipped with weapons, tried to enter the camp, they said.

However, all three Khawarij were neutralized outside the camp in a swift and timely action by the security forces.

The security forces have successfully neutralized 88 Khawarij backed by the Afghan Taliban in the past two days.

“Under the National Action Plan, the Pakistan Armed Forces and law-enforcement agencies will remain steadfast in defending the country until the last Khawarij is eliminated,” sources said.

Separately, security Forces killed eight most-wanted Khwarij terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Sultan Khel area of Lakki Marwat and recovered a large quantity of weapons and explosives from their possession.

The operation was carried out following reports of the presence of Afghan Taliban-backed Khwarij proxies in the area, said security sources.

The Security Forces launched aerial and ground surveillance in the Sultan Khel and Tofan Wala areas. During surveillance, movement of Khwarij terrorists was detected, prompting an immediate operation, they added.

Security sources have eliminated over 100 terrorists in the last four days as forces remain dedicated to eradicate terrorism.

Security forces have conducted multiple IBOs in several areas of Balochistan and KP in the last four days.

Around 50 Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists were killed in a single operation a day earlier as Pakistan forces foiled an infiltration attempt in KP amid border tensions with Afghanistan.

Pakistan has been demanding the Afghan Taliban regime to prevent its soil from being used to attack Pakistan.

The Taliban regime – instead of addressing Pakistan’s concerns over cross-border terrorism – deployed a large number of terrorists in their aggression against Pakistan earlier this month.

Taliban forces, in collaboration with their affiliated terror groups, launched an unprovoked attack on several Pakistan army posts on October 11.

The aggression was met with a fierce response as Pakistan struck multiple Taliban posts along the border.

In their retaliatory strikes, Pakistan killed over 200 Afghan Taliban and affiliated terrorists, while 23 soldiers laid down their lives in the border clashes.

Pakistani forces dealt another crucial blow to the Taliban regime when they launched precision strikes deep inside Afghanistan on Thursday.

Soon after the Pakistan Armed Forces struck Kandahar province and Kabul, the Afghan Taliban regime requested a temporary ceasefire, which was accepted by Pakistan.
