Actor Mariyam Nafees, who welcomed her first child earlier this year, has already made up her mind about family planning. Speaking on the show Hasna Mana Hai, Mariyam humorously declared that two children are enough. “You’re already raising your husband,” she joked, adding that one boy and one girl would be the perfect family.
Mariyam gave birth to her son Isa in March and has since shared her parenting journey on social media. She praised her husband, filmmaker Amaan Ahmed, for his support and partnership. Although the couple lacks nearby family support in Karachi, she said teamwork and a caring partner make parenting manageable.
On Instagram, Mariyam encouraged new mothers to trust their instincts. “You know what’s best for your child,” she wrote in an uplifting message. She stressed that motherhood gives women natural wisdom and that mothers should feel confident in their choices.
Reflecting on her acting career, Mariyam said playing Khajista in Yaqeen Ka Safar was her most emotionally challenging role. She also shared her thoughts on other actors, suggesting Fahad Mustafa should focus more on film production and encouraging Yumna Zaidi to explore comedy roles.
When asked about stars like Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan, Mariyam refused to compare the two. She praised both for their global influence, calling them equally talented and beautiful. “They both represent Pakistan beautifully on the world stage,” she concluded.
